Time to schedule autumn outdoor activities!

This is my first ever blog and I’m going to talk about something near and dear to me – autumn. Many folks love the summer, the sun and the beach but I think autumn is underrated. Summer’s good but check this out. This is the time of year where the weather cools down, the humidity drops, bugs go away and humans can once again take over their outdoor property without being eaten alive. The sweatshirts and sweaters come out of storage and the days start to feel a lot shorter. Before it gets too cold the grill is fired up and you invite friends over to eat, drink and be merry. Maybe you bring a flat screen outdoors and watch football. The view of the game is better than a stadium but the cool outdoor air makes it seem a little more realistic. Its a time to sit on your deck, relax and reflect on how another year is winding down. There are good parts and some maybe not so good. The main thing is, you’re here now enjoying this time. I encourage you to take advantage of this season. When it gets a little colder, extend autumn just a little with a roaring fire in the fire pit. And, as the flames fade and the embers glow at the end of another evening with family and friends, be grateful for the opportunity to really appreciate being alive at this moment. Another year is getting ready to begin…
