You can safely run 4ohm speakers on a receiver that says 8ohms, you just may drive the receiver into thermal protect mode if you listen at extremely high levels for an extended period of time. Typical HTIB speakers will self destruct before the receiver does. That being said, most HTIB speakers aren’t very good.
