You can give the saddles a quick eye inspection, likely a burr, yeah. Sandpaper or appropriate file can remedy this. Easy does it. Fold the paper, sand sand the notch and it'll smoothen out. Always better if you can see/feel the cause of string breakage, easier to see/feel if it's gone.
