WebJul 28, 2024 · The races will happen in a tighter window and different order than in previous years, with the CRAB Cup kicking things off on August 15 th, followed by The Leukemia Cup on September 5 th and The Hospice Cup on September 19. There will also be no pre- or post-race shore parties this year due to COVID-19 safety concerns. WebAmerica’s largest charity regatta in numbers and dollars, Hospice Cup began in 1981 as an informal race among a small group of people interested in sailing and hospice care. Netting almost $28,000, the first Cup was amazingly successful—and fun! About 35 sailboats raced from Annapolis to St. Michaels on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
