The reason the nuts sheer is because there is a seal in the cover that wears and allows water to get between the cover and the nut rusting it. Most dealers are pretty hot on removing the nut without damage and would be my prefered. I have to go to the dealer tomorrow so they can install (they need the old ones as 'proof' for Honda). Just do it before 36,000 miles to avoid a warranty argument.
